At Empower Her Rise, we are cultivating a vibrant community of women of color dedicated to advancing in law, leadership, and higher education. United by a shared commitment to growth, learning, and meaningful connection, our community provides a space for support, inspiration, and opportunity. Whether you are a student, preparing for law school, or established in your professional journey, you belong here.

Empower Her Rise, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women of color from underserved and underrepresented communities.
Through comprehensive support, mentorship, community-building, and scholarship funding, we ensure that women have the resources, networks, and opportunities needed to thrive.
We host virtual events, workshops, and programs designed to empower, educate, and impact women of color who are passionate about pursuing the legal profession, higher education, and leadership.
Our goal is to cultivate the next generation of changemakers who will transform industries, institutions, and futures.

Why We Matter
Women of color especially from underserved communities are still being left behind in the spaces that shape our futures: college, grad school, leadership, and law.In Higher Education:
Only 10% of undergraduate degrees are earned by women of color from underserved communities.
Women of color are less likely to attend graduate school not because of ability, but because of cost, lack of mentorship, and systemic bias.
First-gen students? Many are navigating college without support systems in place.
At the graduate level, women of color earn just 13% of master’s degrees and less than 10% of doctoral degrees across the U.S.
The Gaps Are Real And They Don’t Stop After Graduation:
Women of color are drastically underrepresented in leadership across all industries.
In law, only 9.8% of lawyers are women of color. That breaks down to:
2% Black women
2% Latinas
3% Asian women
Less than 1% Native American women
Less than 1% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women of color.
Even in spaces pushing for “diversity,” women of color often feel invisible or unsupported.
